Welcome to the International Ocean Drilling Programme³ in Germany

Here the German IODP³ Coordination Office at BGR provides information about the German contribution to this international marine research collaboration of the European Consortium for Ocean Research Drilliing (ECORD) and Japan.

The IODP³ explores Earth's history and dynamics using ocean-going research platforms to recover data recorded in seafloor sediments and rocks and to monitor subseafloor environments.
