Welcome to the International Ocean Discovery Program in Germany

Here the German IODP Coordination Office at BGR provides information about the German contribution to this international marine research collaboration of 23 countries.

The IODP explores Earth's history and dynamics using ocean-going research platforms to recover data recorded in seafloor sediments and rocks and to monitor subseafloor environments.
