African Water Week
The African Water Week is organised through the African Ministers Council of Water (AMCOW) in cooperation with chair of the council’s presidency. The focus of AWW is on the implementation of African commitments in the water sector, especially the Sharm el-Sheikh declaration (AU-summit on water and sanitation 2008), the Africa Water Vision 2025 und the Millenium Development Goals (MDG).
