Research
Beneath the conduction of in-situ tests, the scientific part of the GeneSys project aims to understand governing short- and long term processes in the geothermal reservoir. Such processes are performed by numerical simulation and accompanying petrophysical measurements, in combination with the analysis of the in-situ tests. Knowledge about the processes helps to quantify and, if necessary, to improve the concepts for energy extraction from single boreholes. Thereby, the consideration of coupled mechanical, thermal and hydraulic processes is essential. This project focuses on hydrothermal and hydromechanical process investigations, as well as measurements on core samples.
